Go Get Dirty — Composting 101

We are so fortunate to live in a place where municipal composting means that people can send their food waste off to industrial composting facilities instead of having to deal with home composting. And yet, my husband just built me an enormous two-bin system for Mother’s Day. Why? Because I miss the free source of fertilizer and because during the growing season, we produce more yard waste than I can fit in my curb-side bins.

But I’m getting ahead of myself.
